Queen of Clean Gives Heald Farm Court the Seal of Approval

Televisions 'Queen of Clean', Aggie MacKenzie, has given the thumbs up to a flagship Helena development.

The star of 'How Clean is Your House?' was on hand to officially open Helena's Heald Farm Court development in Earlestown, Newton-le-Willows, which offers high quality properties with on-site care and support.

Queen of Clean, Aggie, enjoyed a tour around the scheme, which comprises 89 luxury apartments for people over 55, as well as extensive facilities such as a restaurant, gym and even a hairdressers.

Heald Farm Court was completed towards the end of last year and there are now just a few apartments and bungalows left available on a shared ownership basis.

Aggie also managed to squeeze in a game of Connect4 with residents in the beautifully landscaped gardens, and unveiled a plaque to commemorate the opening of the scheme.

Guests at the event were entertained by children from Newton-Le-Willows Primary School, who came along to sing songs from their recent production of Annie.

Heald Farm Court was developed by Helena Living, with St Helens Council and part funded by the Department of Health, and is managed by MHA Care Group.

The £14 million extra care development offers residents independent living, combined with access to 24 hour care and support, as and when they need it, provided by MHA.

Aggie MacKenzie said: "Everyone I've met today seems very happy living here in their new homes, the facilities here are absolutely fantastic and it's great that everyone has their own living space, but there's always company if people want it."

Rob Young, chief executive of Helena Partnerships, added: "Heald Farm Court is a flagship development, combining superb quality accommodation, different forms of affordable occupation and a real community feel."

Lorelei Jarvis, MHA Group Director was thrilled to be a part of the opening celebrations, "It was so nice to see the residents enjoying themselves. MHA has been providing care and support to older people for over 67 years and we are delighted to have been invited by Helena to provide the housing management and specialist care and support services at Heald Farm Court".
